Free COVID-19 Testing is Available On Campus
Georgia State is offering free saliva-based PCR testing to all students, faculty and staff. We strongly encourage testing for anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19. We continue to test on the Atlanta campus and particularly encourage participation by those who are unvaccinated. This FDA-approved test is expected to return results within 72 hours. No appointment or medical referral is required.
You must be onsite to complete your Vault registration at covid.vlt.co.

Before Your On-Campus Saliva Test
- Hydrate until 30 minutes before.
- Avoid food, water, gum and smoking 30 minutes before.
- Bring your PantherCard to the testing site.
- If under 18, get parent’s consent and an electronic copy of their ID.

Free Self-administered Tests
In response to the surge in COVID-19 infections, Georgia State University expanded COVID-19 testing by making free, self-administered PCR saliva test kits available to students, faculty and staff. Individuals may pick up a test kit at the Atlanta Campus location listed below, complete the instructions and return the test to the dropbox at the location. Test results are returned within 48 hours and will be emailed to the individuals by the BRIO testing lab. Individuals who test positive should self-report.

Georgia State students, faculty and staff can also get COVID-19 tests at the off-campus sites that are open to the public. So, if you have a close friend or loved one who isn’t a member of the Georgia State community and wants a test, they can visit a public testing site.
