Beginning Monday, Sept. 27, current Georgia State students, faculty and staff who have received a full series of the COVID-19 vaccine (two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson) can win one of 100 cash prizes of $1,000!
Those who have been fully vaccinated — whether at the Student Health Clinic or elsewhere — are eligible. Individuals vaccinated in the coming weeks will be able to add their names to the pool as soon as they receive their second dose (or a single dose of Johnson & Johnson).
The Office of Institutional Research executed the first vaccine raffle drawing at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 and Friday, Oct. 15. Winners will be notified via email soon, and their vaccine status will be verified.
Stay tuned for more information.
Getting vaccinated is convenient and free to Georgia State students, faculty and staff.
One hundred prizes will be awarded. The names of the first 50 lucky winners were drawn on Oct. 8 at 4 p.m., and another 25 will follow Oct. 15 and again Nov. 1.
Check your Georgia State email for a message from firstname.lastname@example.org and follow the instructions to claim your prize. Your email message will include instructions for verification of your vaccinations.
Only one entry per person is allowed. If there are multiple entries from an individual, the entries will be de-duplicated and only one entry will count. Once registered, you will be registered for the remaining drawing — there is no need to re-register.
Senior administrators (university cabinet and deans) are not eligible, and family members of Georgia State students, faculty and staff are also not eligible.
Winners will be required to validate the dates and locations of their vaccinations before receiving their prize. Vaccinations of winners will be verified by Student Health Clinic personnel through immunization registry databases.
Student awards will be processed through Student Financial Aid and will not interfere with other assistance being received, and employees’ awards will be taxed appropriately through payroll. Responses to drawing submissions will only be accessible to authorized Georgia State personnel.
